love

Let me preface this by saying that I think pretty much everybody in the entire world is a little bit crazy, in their own way, and that there's little we can do about it, and I'm not sure we would want to.

Yesterday I found out that one of my good friends from high school (finally!) got engaged, and it got me thinking. I'm starting to think that love is really about finding someone that crazy in the same way that you are. Or at least a compatible kind of crazy. Which might explain why love is so crazy and f'ed up and complicated....

Madonna said that in order to love someone you have to love yourself first. Which I think is completely true. This kind of fits with my new craziness theory, because I think in some ways it's finding something of yourself in someone else. Possible? Definitely. Crazy? Maybe. Guess we'll see.
