Remember how I keep saying things can't get more complicated? Well, never, ever, ever say that. They always can.
And you know, all in all, it's a good kind of complicated, so I'm gonna shut the hell up.
So I decided to quit my job and take the one in Pittsburgh. Actually doing so seemed like it would be an impossible feat. Here were some of the reasons for thinking about the Burgh
- closer to family, friends, tim
- closer to the country (I don't like cities)
- wouldn't be alone all the time
- right now, my loved ones are more important to me than my career. but my life doesn't reflect that.
- i could finally be home, my own place, and not away temporarily
- the longer i stay away from Pittsburgh, the harder it will be to get a job there.
- there aren't that many jobs in PGH to begin with.
- sometimes, when I'm feeling a little depressed, i go into a spiral of depression that just says - this is great, but this is what i wanted for my life!!!! i was the one who wanted to stay at home!! why am i the one who's not there any more? sometimes i wonder why i even took the job, even though i know.
- more variety at a design firm
- more digital / flash stuff
- would prepare me to go out on my own....
so as you can see, the reasons are somewhat numerous. I feel like it's something I have to do. So I did.
So quitting wasn't all that bad, and they were really nice, and I appreciated that so much, but now they have a counteroffer in the works, which is where the complicated comes in. And I want to get that figured out before I publish it to the world ;)
so YEAH.
AGATA'S HERE!! Last night we had a wonderful dinner to celebrate. It was at the sidewalk cafe/restaurant next to my apartment building. We had Baked Brie with mango relish... and we both got tilapia.... and then we walked to Argo tea to get free internet, except i'm not sure they actually had free internet, or if i was just stealing some random persons, but they did have Tea Sangria!! Which actually probably could've been better. But it was neat to try. :D
Tonight we are thinking (not sure yet) about going to this pretty famous place to eat german food in chicago. it will be fun! or we might go shopping. AND, there is a chocolate factory here, so you can smell chocolate in the air sometimes, and Agata is going INSANE. ;)
Anyway. More info soon......
