Christmas is over! For once, I am sad to see it go. I don't feel like it lasted long enough. But I'm sure there are those who would disagree. ;) And there are others who apparently don't realize it's over - when will radio stations stop playing random christmas songs?! agh! and they only pay the stupid corny horrible arrangements of sugarhigh carols like Holly Jolly Christmas and Rudolph. Can't a girl get a nice O Holy Night? It came upon a midnight clear, even? I'll settle for Blue Christmas - and when I'm settling for Elvis, you know something's wrong.
Got some fun stuff! CDs: Ani DiFranco - Imperfectly, John Mayer - Heavier Things, the Anna Nalick cd (for the addictive song Breathe) and my mom got me Carrie Underwood and Gretchen Wilson. I think I'm going to keep Carrie but exchange Gretchen for Sara Evans.... She has a new song out called "Cheatin'" (who would have guessed at THAT title?) but it's a really funny catchy song, and I've loved her last 3 singles, so I bet the rest of the CD's good. If not her, Lee Ann Womack is up next (I'm Gonna Hate Myself in the Morning is a great song). Or Ani's Little Plastic Castle. Or Green Day. Anybody recognize any of the country people? When did I become such a CD junkie?
Also for christmas I got some super cool stuff: new scanner, the cool HP kind that you can move around and sits vertically on the desk, a stained glass starter kit (so excited!!! going to take a class), the Post Secret book, and some awesome gift cards to spend when tim & i go out. :D
Didn't get any audio books or b&n gift cards, though. but that's ok! tim got me a purse i wanted, and a white sox cell phone holder (very funny - do you get it?), and a starbucks gift card and a gas card and a few other funny things. we both did about as well, since i basically got him a steelers hat and a bears hat (hahaha) and a flashlight and some other crap.
Well, there's more to say, and I've got pictures of my dogs looking pissed in outfits my mom bought them, but it's lunch time! :)
