I haven't posted in a while, mostly because I haven't had much to post about. Things have been pretty normal. Sleep, work, play, sleep, work, play. And eat and clean. Now that the holidays are over I can actually get into some kind of groove.
Tim and I watched Cinderella Man yesterday. Not my favorite movie ever. It wasn't bad, I was just wondering where it was going for most of the movie. Renee Zellwiger (however that's spelled) just kind of annoyed me, and like an hour out of the 2.5 (or maybe more) was just people punching each other in the face. And this is coming from someone who doesn't really mind violence, I like the edge it adds to a movie, it's just that it was the same thing, two guys punching each other, OVER and OVER. And I even like watching a real boxing match, now and then. I guess I just really didn't care. The only thing interesting to me was the depiction of the great depression, and my grandparents have told me better stories.
Oh, I DID see two movies I wanted to see - two days in a row. Last Sunday my parents and I saw Narnia and we all liked it. I really don't remember the books very well at all, so it was pretty good. Nice looking, some good action sequences. It was a little innocent for me, but they are kid's books.... The lion is pretty cool, and so is the White Witch.
I also dragged Tim to Harry Potter 4. You can imagine what fun that was. Although the corny moments were lesser in this one, they were still too many for him. ;) The ending, however, really delivered, I thought. My favorite part was the exchange between Ron and Hermoine after the Yule Ball. It seemed very real, and very complicated, in the midst of a lot of simplicity. Remember I haven't read the books, so this is always kind of a superficial level of critique. I've decided I ought to read them, I would actually like to, but who knows when that will happen. There are a lot of other books I'd like to read first.
It seems like all I do is watch movies anymore. Not that I'm complaining. I also saw Wedding Crashers, and War of the Worlds (god don't see it! *gag* i was forced against my will) and I watched Moulin Rogue twice.
Today, however, will be cleaning. And hopefully sitting around reading. Or something. I don't know what to do with myself. ;)
