inspired

So early this week I finished my wonderfully fantastic book I was reading, and it has left me so inspired. I read till 2 every night (or later) and it was totally worth the complete exhaustion I experienced every minute I wasn't reading. SUCH a good story. I have half a mind to read it again just to think about why it was so good.

Of course, I do this a lot, I'm realizing. If a movie was worth anything I want to watch it again with the ending in mind, take it apart, analyze. Why do my fun things even become objects of analysis?

I have been enjoying the cold sunny weather. Also, my car just wouldn't start the other day (VERY DEPRESSING) and so I had to take my mom's. Ho hum.

Hey...you commented on my blog so I thought I would return the favor.

I feel the same way about books!!

Also I LOVE Orson Scott Card. I have only read Ender's Game in his sci-fi books (I know, I know, that's mostly what he writes) but the Women of the Bible books....wow. Just wow. That's how I discovered him. (I'm not religious, I just love ancient history. And apparently so does he.)

Which book did you read? (Sorry if I missed it on a previous post.)

If you like Orson Scott Card, you should read Octavia Butler. She's wonderful.

haha, i can't speak for lo, but I've read "Rebekah" and "Sarah" and they were AWESOME and I can't wait to get "Rachel & Leah." Octavia Butler totally ROCKS, it's sad that she's passed away.

rachel, just saw on your profile - i loved memory of earth too! that is my absolute favorite.

ah ha and funny aside to lo - not only does OSC like ancient history, but did you know he's a Mormon? i terrifically even and open minded one in my opinion, but yes. ah he's so great.

if you like OSC, you could also check out Lois McMaster Bujold's SF (kind of space-opera-ey but fun) or Sharon Shinn, who's the lady I just got done reading.... Great writer of romantic science fantasy! talk about a blending of genres...

ok that was a lot of rambling but it's my blog so i guess i can. ;)
